CRITERIA FOR SUBMITTING A FUNDING REQUEST TO PARADE OF NATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENTALLY CHALLENGED (PONDC)

Our Mission

To help people with special needs attain greater independence and dignity by nourishing their interests, and to provide a way for them to participate in and contribute to the community in which they live in a manner that promotes acceptance and compassion in our community for all its members.

What PONDC offers

Thanks to the generous donations received from our supporters and the countless hours contributed by our volunteers, Parade of Nations provides support in the form of cash donations toward:

  • workshops of all kinds related to arts,
  • teaching of life skills,
  • wish-granting,
  • cost of participation during various community and cultural events, and
  • recreational activities.

These efforts serve to bring together all the members of our community, where people with special needs can mingle, share personal experiences, and learn how to apply the lessons taught in the courses offered.

Please note:

  • Your information will be kept confidential.
  • All requests for financial consideration are first referred to the PONDC Board of Directors who does a review twice a year.
  • If the application is accepted, the request is voted on.
  • Once approved, requests can take up to 60 days to process.
  • The Board will consider financial assistance to any individual with special needs, of any age or background with a priority to creative endeavours.
  • It is the policy of Parade of Nations for the Developmentally Challenged not to fund administrative or fundraising event costs for any organization.

Submission requirements

Your request for funding must be submitted in writing and include the following information:

  • Full name and address of person making the request
  • Name, telephone number, and mailing or email address of the contact person
  • Full name and address of person who will benefit from the request
  • Purpose/Type of the request
  • Number of people the request will benefit
  • Any pertinent information that supports your request
  • Submit the written funding request to Parade of Nations for the Developmentally Challenged, 1621 Joyce Street, Cornwall Ontario, K6J 1Y8
